From the East Brethren, Spring is on it’s way!.... …and to rush things even more, Daylight Savings time will begin on March 9th. Don’t’ forget to “Spring Ahead”. This will be a very busy month for our lodge. At our stated communication this month, we have two petitions to ballot on, and don’t forget to bring your lady to our excellent meal preceding the meeting. Dues notices have been sent out and I apologize to anyone who had not received one for 2007 and had paid their dues. We now have the records current and will start sending dues cards out this week to all who have paid. Please call me if you have any questions. March 10th at 7:00pm is our Lodge School and March 19th the District Ritual School is held at Orange Lodge at 7:00pm. On March 18th, Most Worshipful Edmund Cohen, Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, will hold his Official Tiled Visit to our district at the Stated Communication of Independent Orange #138. A meal will be held at 6:30pm (no ladies) and the meeting at 7:30. This is a Town Hall meeting for the members of District #7 only for questions and answers. I request all my officers be in attendance if possible and bring your questions for the Grand Master. On April 26th, the Grand Master will be making his Official Visit in the open meeting style at Gordonsville. This will be a joint Official Visit of Districts 7 and 10. Ladies, friends and non-Masonic guest are invited. The Banquet will cost $16.00 per person. Reservations are needed and our lodge will sponsor our Widows if they wish to attend. Please make reservations and arrange for their transportation if you know any that would like to attend. “Leon”
